Attitude Dance Center was founded by New Bern native and dance educator Tabbi Taylor with a clear purpose: to create a studio where children receive quality dance instruction while developing confidence, creativity, responsibility, and a genuine sense of belonging.
From the beginning, Tabbi has built ADC alongside Assistant Director Emily, her trusted “second brain” and partner in the daily work of bringing the studio’s vision to life. Together, they have shaped the programs, systems, communication, and personal approach that families experience today.
ADC was built for real families. We believe dance should be an important and positive part of childhood without taking over family life. That means age-appropriate instruction, thoughtful class placement, clear communication, meaningful performance opportunities, and an environment where dancers are encouraged to grow at their own pace.
At ADC, attitude means having the courage to walk into class for the first time, the determination to keep working when a step feels impossible, and the confidence to step onto a stage. It is reflected in how our dancers support one another, how we teach, and how we care for the families who trust us.
After every recital season, our dancers add pink and teal handprints to the studio hallway, creating a growing record of every dancer who has become part of ADC. It is one of our most meaningful traditions and a reminder that every dancer who walks through our doors contributes to our story and leaves a mark of their own.
Our story is not defined only by how long our doors have been open. It is defined by why we opened them, the people who have helped build and shape the studio, and the experience we work to create every day.
